Oliver Vibrans is an Ivor Novello award winning Composer, Producer and Sound Designer based in the UK. Oliver has composed music for the concert hall, theatre, film, art installations and radio.

Sound Design

In addition to composing music, Oliver has created sound designs for many theatre productions including The Walrus has a Right to Adventure, at Liverpool Everyman, A Leap In the Dark at The New Vic, productions for CRIPtic Arts, Romeo and Juliet for Shakespeare North, Frankenstein for RADA, many touring productions for The Guildford Shakespeare Company, LipService, Night Train, plus sound design for independent films, art installations and radio productions.

Concert Hall

Paraorchestra and The Breath with music orchestrated by Oliver Vibrans, BBC Proms 2025, The Virtuous Circle for BBC Proms 2024, Trip the Light Fantastic at Bristol Beacon and Southbank. Recent commissions include September Sonnets at The Grand Center CUNY New York, Valves, for 25 piece brass band for The Commission for New and Old Art, The Music and Meditation Podcast for BBC Concert orchestra, Monomyth for the Hallé, music for two episodes of Charles Hazlewood’s landmark documentary Reinventing the Orchestra for Sky Arts, Hatchet Job for Royal Northern College of Music, Treading Water for the BBC Philharmonic for BBC Radio 3, More Up, a piece for Chamber orchestra and electronics for The Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and The Able Orchestra, winner of an Ivor Novello award, nominated for a Royal Philharmonic Society award 2020, Suspended Dance for BBC Radio 3, part of the Composers Postcard Project, From the Crowd, a commemoration of Peterloo.
